How trust levels work
NBD Finder uses a simple trust system to keep content quality high without making long-time users wait for approval on every submission.
Trial (every new account)
- Submissions go through moderator review before going live: spots, photos, reviews, obstacle suggestions, ABD entries, and challenge claim videos.
- This is normal — it's how we catch spam, duplicate spots, and low-effort content.
- The mod queue gets checked daily.
Standard (auto-promoted once you've earned it)
- Submissions go live immediately. Spots, photos, reviews, obstacles, ABDs all skip the queue.
- Challenge claim videos still go through moderator verification — that's content moderation (making sure the right person gets the money), not a trust thing.
What triggers auto-promotion to Standard:
- Your account is at least 30 days old
- You've signed in on 5 different days
- At least 1 of your spot submissions has been approved
Hit all three and the next time you sign in, you're upgraded automatically. No need to ask.
Reviewer (appointed by admins)
- Everything Standard users can do, plus:
- Approve / reject submissions in the moderation queue
- Verify or reject challenge claim videos
- Pin, lock, or delete forum threads and posts
- Delete live chat messages
- Reviewers cannot ban users or process payouts — those stay admin-only.
- Reviewers are appointed, not applied for.
Admin (founding team)
Everything Reviewers can do, plus user account management, payouts, advertising, site configuration, and structural decisions.
