How Challenges work
A Challenge is a real cash pot placed on a specific trick at a specific obstacle. Someone funds it, skaters film attempts, and the first to land it — and prove it — collects the money.
Place a Challenge
- Open a spot and tap the green “💰 NBD Challenges · $X” button.
- Tap “+ Set a Challenge”.
- Pick the trick from the autocomplete (or type a custom one), choose the obstacle, and enter the amount.
- Pay through Stripe. The Challenge goes live as soon as payment confirms — anyone who lands it can claim the pot.
Boost a Challenge
Want to see a trick get landed? Add money to a Challenge someone else placed.
- Open the Challenges tab on the spot.
- Tap “Boost” next to the Challenge, enter an amount, and pay.
- Your boost is added to the pot. The claimer collects the full total when they land it.
Claim a Challenge
- Open the Challenges tab on the spot where the Challenge lives.
- Tap “I Landed It!”.
- Upload your clip — a single take is best, since cuts make verification harder. Make sure the trick and obstacle clearly match the Challenge.
- Submit. A moderator reviews it, and you’ll be notified when it’s approved or rejected. A rejected claim keeps the Challenge live for the next attempt.
Get paid
Before you claim, connect a payout account: tap your avatar (top-right) → Settings → Payout → connect a Stripe payout account. NBD Finder never sees your bank details.
Heads up: a verified claim can’t pay out without a payout method on file, so set this up before you claim. Payouts process within about 7 business days of verification.
