Guide

Using the map

The map is the heart of NBD Finder — every spot, park, and shop lives here as a colored pin. Here’s how to get around it.

Search

Type into the search bar at the top of the map. It matches spot names, cities, states, and obstacles.

  • State codes work — type CA for California, NC for North Carolina, and so on.
  • Tap any result to fly the map to it and open the spot.

Filter by type

Three pills sit under the search bar: Spots (blue), Parks (orange), and Shops (pink). All three are on by default — tap one to hide that type from the map and list, and tap again to bring it back.

Show only active NBDs

Flip the “💰 Only show active NBDs” toggle (below the type pills) to hide every spot that doesn’t currently have a live Challenge. It’s the fastest way to find a trick with money on it.

Tip: spots with an active Challenge also have a glowing green ring around their pin, so you can pick them out even with the filter off.

Center on your location

Tap the location-pin icon (lower-left of the map) to jump to where you are. Your browser will ask for location permission the first time.

3D and 2D views

The view-toggle icon (upper-right of the map) switches between the default 3D pitched view and a flat 2D satellite view. Use whichever helps you read the terrain.

List view

The “List” button next to the search bar collapses the map into a scrollable list of the same filtered spots — handy on a slow connection or when you just want to scan names.

Share a spot

Every spot has its own link: /spot/<name>, /park/<name>, or /shop/<name>. Open a spot and copy the address bar to send it to a friend.
